Giving up smoking improves your health in ways that you can scarcely imagine. For instance did you know that a person who smokes is 4 times as likely to lose their eyesight in old age, than someone who doesnt? There are many benefits to not smoking so good luck.

    Thats scary.

Well my taste buds seem strange today and my mouth feels fuzzy like I've been out drinking. I've also got a huge headache, it's weird I don't smoke that much to start with. Yesterday I had 1 today will be 0. DH gave me a roll up last night but I was very good and put it down on the sideboard. He smoked it this morning and it stinks.

I agree with the fact that smoking stinks, the smell alone makes me feel ill! :(

Why would anyone want to burn money to smell like that?

You can do it BH, best of luck!

Good luck - keep it up.
  • Hugs for the fact that you have a headache and feel lousy - this will be the (physical) addiction starting to work its way out of your system. YOU WILL FEEL BETTER FOR GIVING UP! :D

Very best of luck to you Broken Hearted. I gave up just over three months ago, and although I'm no better off money wise (as there's nothing in my savings account) I feel better (although I can't put my finger on what is better - I still get breathless and cough etc).

I gave up smoking 20 a day, and although I still get the odd pang for one I won't give in.

I completely understand how difficult it must be to see your husband smoking - but keep it up. I now can't stand the smell of ciggies - and I've also stopped drinking coffee because I associate coffee with ciggies and really can't stand the yell from the pit of my stomach for a fag if I have a coffee.

    Keep going!

Just think by next year when the smoking ban comes into effect in England and Wales you wont have to worry about not having a cigarette when having a drink in a pub! Its great going home at night after being out not having to worry about your clothes stinking of cigarettes.

I hope you succeed in becoming smoke free as well as debt free :)
