Okay, so it seems my idiocy knows no bounds.
Was adjusting the brightness display on my HTPC, being as I'm using a keyboard with a scroll wheel and I've never used a scroll wheel before and am still getting used to it my finger moved too far and now my screen is totally black lol.
Only problem is I can't see anything to turn the brightness levels back up. Tried to restart hoping the settings wouldn't stick, but they did. Now I have a black screen and no way of seeing anything to open catalyst control centre and reset it.
Help please!

Probably not now you have reset it...... What can you do?? Is it possible to connect to another moniter to adjust settings?? Or was it the actual moniter you made dark?? If it was the moniter the menu normally appears regardless of settings.....???0 -

I did try that but the mouse pointer must have moved up slightly or down slightly.
It's the actual GFX settings I changed, not the monitor settings So plugging it into a different monitor won't work

Have you tried it in safe mode?0

Yeah it starts in safe mode, but I can't adjust any properties, or un install anything.Sigless0

I wonder if you restored it to last known good configuration would work?0

Tried that.
Even tried booting with a ubuntu disk and removing the ATI files. Still no luck.Sigless0 -
If your mother board has on board graphics ,just pull the ati card reboot it will switch to on board graphics .Then uninstall all ati graphics stuff .Reboot with ati card back in it will install drivers and off you go.
