Smiley as an Avatar

I am sure one of you clever people can help me. I want to change my avatar to one of the funky smilies and it does not seem to want to work, its doing my head in.
I have Firefox with the downloaded smiley extension, I dont know if this makes a difference.
If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be most grateful. clap2.gif

If the forum allows animated images i.e. GIFS (some do, not sure about this one) and is within the size specified then you should be able to use them

For this forum, the maximum size is is 80 by 80 pixels or 14.9 KB

  • Ahhh sorted it, have to open a message thread, insert the image location address and copy and paste it into the avatar bit. Soooo not complicated at all and after all that the image file is too big :rotfl:

Damn I really wanted this as my avatar 00173ev.gif

    Thanks for the assistance all

I have been able to reduce gifs before for other forums. Don't ask me how though - sometimes it works, sometimes they stop moving after I reduce them. I simply save them smaller.

Just looked at it quickly, and I can get it between the amount of pixels required, but its 53Kb, now that is huge. I wont be able to reduce it without distorting it unfortunatly.
