DCA Learning

Hi, wonder if you can help me. I paid in full for a DCA learing course in 2007. Since then I have suffered ill health, been virtually bedbound and not been able to complete this. (It is still in the packaging) Further to this my father passed away in 2009 and I am now trying to recover from my illness as well as look after my mother. After forgetting I had even enrolled due to everything that has been going on I rang today and asked if it is possible for a refund as it has not been opened. I also have medical proof from my doctor that my health suffered severly in 2007/8/9. The lady was very unhelpful and obstructive. She kept repeating that once the pack is paid for it is your property and we don't want it back. She also kept saying I had entered into a contract and it was tough, I should have thought about it before. I asked who her manager was, she told me her name and said it does not matter who you write to. I will deal with it and I will not overturn this. I asked to speak to her manager she told me no. I am employed to deal with calls. She will not speak to you. I have started to write to her manager and I am sure I will get the same response but she really did get my back up. I want my letter to be constructive and to the point. Any ideas????!!! Thank you so much for your help Grumpysod xx

Hello, I'm sorry for all your troubles but I don't think you have a leg to stand on.

It's no different to any other product you could have bought. You can't return it three years later because you've changed your mind.

'The lady was very unhelpful and obstructive.' No she wasn't, she was just quite rightly refusing to refund you.

Any advice given is as an individual, not as a representative of my firm.

Sorry Grumpysod your personal circumstances are completely irrelevant. You have bought and paid for this item. Asking for your money back 3 years later because you haven't used it really isnt going to wash, take the hit and move on.
