Well have to post as am pleased.
We are with British Gas as for now its the cheapest provider for us for both gas and electric - we are on prepayment meters, not I hasten to add because of debt, but because we didn't want to get into debt. Hubby used to be a taxi driver and earned daily and no back up if he was off ill, and then he moved to a job where he is paid weekly so made sense to stay on prepayment, and although cost us more years ago now its as cheap as most other tarrifs for us.
My good news is today received a letter for British Gas with a £15 voucher in it - so that is gas and electric paid for next week or so, I presume I knew about it but had forgotten, if you are a dual fuel customer for the full year ending 31st Aug you receive this discount.
Nice to receive money in the post instead of usual bills .
We find these days we use £5 - £7 a week electric in the summer and £3 a week gas, and last winter that went up to £10 - £15 electric and £10 gas - we have a combi boiler and gas central heating plus all the usual electric items. We are actually paying far, far less than we used to up to about 3 years ago. less than half.
So at the moment british gas has one happy customer.
Ys I know many will pay far less but for us the ppm works. we have never been without gas or electric nor ever had a debt over them...:j

You might want to look at British Gas Energy Smart tariffs for credit meters.
You provide BG with monthly meter readings via web text or telephone, and the bill you for what you have used via direct debit.
I use this for electricity. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
