HPI Check Results
I've just done an HPI check on a car I'm looking to buy, it came back clear but the only strange thing is that it said 1 owner before the current owner (a dealership), and that the current owner has had the car since April 2008? Why would they have it for over 2 years? Is this something I should be concerned about?

It'll be classed as "in trade" thus in limbo when it comes to registration terms, they are a "transparent owner" if you will. The DVLA will know they are keeping it, but won't record them as a previous keeper.
When you sell a car to a trader, they fill in the "yellow section" to put the car into trade, this means the DEALER keeps the remainder of the log book, so they can just sign the car over.
Otherwise they'd have to wait for a new log book to turn up. The V5 you sign will have the previous keepers details on.
