hiya,
I have a fenced garden and I let my rabbits run around.
A neighbour's cat climbs over fence and generally annoys the rabbits.
Is there anything that I can put down that will deter cat but be safe for rabbits?
many thanks,
yogi

It is a cats nature to kill, whether for food or enjoiment.
You will be hard put to to stop it.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0 -
My mum's cats used to herd the neighbours Guinea Pigs. I'm sure they thought it was funny, but they never attempted to kill.
The best deterrent for cats in your garden is to get your own cat.
However, they are repelled by citrus. A good pet shop should be able to suggest something. Apparently Cayenne pepper works too, but not sure how your rabbits would take that!0 -
i had this problem with my own cat , it would sit at the rabbits cage and annoy them , after 10 soakings with water it got the message and never bothered them again , however i didn't let them run around when it was aound , couldn't you just get a large run ?0

I do not think there is anything that you can do to deter cats stalking rabbits. Unless you have an aggressive rabbit like I did, he scared cats off that came near him, he bit their tails and peed on them. He also fell in love with my girl cat and I had to remove him from her as he got a little too friendly. Sadly he is not around now after being attacked by a fox that got into my garden. I have had so many bunnies and some of them have been killed by cats, I don't think you can ever trust a cat it's their instinct. I have two cats which I adore and one has a big bell round her neck because she is so skilled in hunting.credit card balances March 2008 £5159.11Time to pick myself up and start again.0
