  • I'm not sure I've read the text at the top of this post before. It's good points all, esp considering I've got an expensive weekend coming up...

    I have:
    - Told my sister we're eating at home when she comes to stay, rather than going out for a meal
    - Arranged with the friends we're meeting tonight to go to a food festival rather than the trendy (and pricey) gastro-pub they wanted to
    - Bought the cheapest fan at Argos, rather than any of the more tempting expensive-looking ones
  • Morning all:) last day of my mat leave today :( DD already at nursery, on a brighter note she didn't cry when I left her this morning :) list for today:
Currently on train to London to have lunch with old friend. Booked tickets in advance and got free paper from station
Going to see jimmy Carr tonight, will park on my office so no cost there
Bought magazine with me so I'm not tempted to buy one ;)
Use time on train to think of Christmas presents for people
Try and contact the company who ordered my breakfast bar leg from, it's gone AWOL:cool: if it doesn't arrive today mate won't be able to fit it tomorrow. If I'd does arrive need to move dining table and asssociated piles of stuff to make room
Gave sis 2 more boxes of stuff for her to sell for me at carboot this weekend

Think that's about it. Have a great day everyone :)
  • Morning:D

Well my afternoon at the lottie has been scuppered, will be doing twice as much weeding next week.

Today I will check online banking
Find some way to dry my washing:mad:
Peel and freeze box of cooking apples, before they rot.
    Clean bathroom and downstairs loo
Sausage casserole for tea and bargain strawberries left from yesterday
    Post Letters
Some baking if I get the time.

Not much of a list today, but I am sure I will fill my time somehow :D
My finances are work in progress.
    Normal veiwing will resume shortly

Sorry to quote myself but I just managed to pick up one of these each for B and myself. They are really pretty, and were on sale elsewhere in the shop for £7.99 each!

ETA - sorry, should have said Freebies board not Grabbit. Ooops!

redsam, can you see if there are any cleaning/waitressing/bartending jobs around just to make ends meet before you "real" job comes along? If I couldn't find work in the areas I want to work in I'd be prepared to do anything to reduce stress & anxiety. hth x

La esc have a great time , Jonno7 its hard leaving them isn't it I paid an arm and a leg for my DDs nursery but it was excellent , she loved it and I was reassured by the fact she was well looked after.

    My list for today :

    • rang to make balance transfer to 0% card but offer now finished.
    • find details for old CC that I meant to close that is now offering 0% balance transfer
