Friday 24th September - What small DFW things will you be doing today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
Morning everyone
, am up with the larks again - that's the problem with going to bed so early
, I'm up 90 mins before oh and I'm not even going to work!!! At least it'll give me plenty of time to do the things I want today

Hi everyone
Oooh, payday today! And I completely forgot I had done overtime!!! £200 pour moi!
That should hopefully be the overdraft gone for good!!! I was slightly worried that I'd been back in it this month and last
CC is going down by 400 badboys so now at just over £1600...
Other small things:
- washing dishes before water goes cold
- tumble drier on for min time poss...pretty sure my dress is nearly almost dry

Other not-so-DFWesque thing is that it's my hen weekend

Hi everyone,
Wow La E - have a fabulous weekend - and don't be too naughty!;)
It is my day off today but I am quite rough, have been up most of the night with cough and cold. And I have a horrid pain in my jaw and shoulder, I think it is wisdom teeth related. Do you think my shoulder pain could be referred from my teeth?
I have to take B to the orthodontist smack in the middle of the morning so won't get too much done while T is at school. Poor love is having her mould made for her braces today, bless her. :(Also today I plan to:
1) Drop off a huge box of items I have collected over the year for the Link Romania Shoeboxes. A fellow mum wants to make lots of boxes with a group so I get to send all the items to Romania without having to pay the £30 delivery it was going to cost me!
2) Collect a free Orla Kiely water bottle from Robert Dyas ( as seen on Grabbit)
3) A Netmum is collecting some of T's toys which I am selling for £15 to go in his moneybox.
4) All meals from stores.
5) Enjoy a quiet night in. OH and B are out and I plan to catch up with my girly programmes in peace. Bliss!
6) Check banking, quidco and SC.
Have a great day, L x0 -
Good morning and happy Friday everyone.
Have high hopes for getting things done today as it would be lovely to have a quiet weekend with my oh- Work: Newsletter to sign off, homepage for next week to sort
- See if I can fill in DLA form online - nearly there with it! - notes are all written so either fill it in online today or paper form over weekend
- Decide what party bag theme to go for and put operation 'cheap but cool' into action with sourcing contents
- Pop to postbox with expenses claim and cheque for new central heating (is all about balance.. in with one hand, out with another:rotfl:)
- 3 loads of washing to sort and get put away
- Pack for the boys going to their dad's for the weekend
and when we drop them off:- If this weather holds finally pick up my motorbike from its' MOT - has been there nearly 3 weeks - oooops
- Tiny top up shop of those things I forgot earlier in the week
Aim to collect a binbag of rubbish from around the house and walk the dog too.
Hope everyone has a great day

redsam, can you see if there are any cleaning/waitressing/bartending jobs around just to make ends meet before you "real" job comes along? If I couldn't find work in the areas I want to work in I'd be prepared to do anything to reduce stress & anxiety. hth xDF as at 30/12/16

- [STRIKE]Order car tax online [/STRIKE]:( boooooo I hate this as the roads are still awful...but then again the roads being awful earns me money

- HC when I get home and dry naturally
- [STRIKE]Lunch from stores[/STRIKE] - I now have a larder at work which is packed full of soups, beans and alphabetty spaghetti...! (Yes I am 26 years old, I like spelling out rude words with it:rotfl:)

I've been on the DFW trail for a while now but this is the first time I've left it til 4.30pm to check my banking on payday - this is a sign of being soooo much more organised and knowing exactly how much money is in my account. :TNothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0
