Tesco milk - huge price hike!

I'm another who stopped buying milk from the supermarkets, around two years ago actually.
I get mine from my local shop 2 ltres for 75p also doing this has saved me a fortune as I don't waste money picking up things I realy did'nt need when I used to just go in to Tesco ect for milk.
Supermarkets and milk equates to daylight robbery as far as I'm concerned.0 -
I get mine from farmfoods. 2 bottles for £1.50 and 2 loaves of hovis for £1, lasts us a week and saves us a fortune compared to previously paying £1.50 odd for just one bottle! Also I buy my bread yellow stickered when available from the supermarkets and freeze it. Used to easily spend between £5-10 per week on bread and milk and now it's just £2.50, if that.
Also as there's never much else at Farmfoods that takes my fancy, I don't spend extra on stuff I don't need.0 -
The Creamfields 2 litre was 50p for ages, then went up to 75, now 87p. I can't complain as the 50p price was unsustainable, really.I shot a vein in my neck and coughed up a Quaalude.

Wow milk prices vary with the season who would have thought cows don't make as much when the summer is over? :eek:0

I actually complained instore today about this very price hike and they said they would flag it with HQ as it did seem extreme. I object to this type of price hike as there does not seem to be an obvious reason for it. But I do feel for the farmers the way the supermarkets squeeze them. But then as a consumer I have to buy what I can justifiably afford. *Opens minefield*

you don't want to be putting cows in a mine field. Unless you want them to jump 200 feet in the air and then disperse over a wide area?
*serious point acknowledged and agreed with*0 -
Judging from the bull I encountered today I don't want to be doing anything with cows at all!!!you don't want to be putting cows in a mine field. Unless you want them to jump 200 feet in the air and then disperse over a wide area?
