used dvds - worth anything?

Got about 50 general mixed DVDs, mainstream movies. I assume they are basically worthless? I checked cex and they seem to pay about 30p/dvd...

It might also be worth checking out the prices on play.com and Amazon; you can sell second hand DVDs on both, so you can get an idea of what other people are charging for them.

Some deleted DVD titles go for a few quid, just the other day I sold my copy of Tron for £26, only cost me £4.99 a couple of years ago. I flogged it now because I know that it is being re-released to tie in with the sequel later in the year

That's exactly what I've done with some of my old DVDs. It costs nothing to list items on Amazon and if you are hoping for about £15 for the lot (50 x 30p), you might make this amount by selling 10 on Amazon and you can make another £12 selling the remainder for your original 30p each.

Personally, I'd give it a whirl, since it'll cost you nothing but the time it takes to list on Amazon.
