I have Easy Cap, http://easycap.co.uk/ and i have it connected to my video recorder through the scart lead in the back of the vhs recorder. i have the wires of the easy cap connected to the scart which has a button theat says in and out. When i start the software which is unlead video studio and play the vhs tape i click on the button that says capture in the software program but i get a message telling me. 'No input signal' i cant seem to get any picture transferring from the tape to my pc via the easy cap.
ive looked on the website and im having this probelm, however, i have bought that little scart but still nothing.

any advise anyone please.

VHS recorders usually have two scart sockets, make sure your scart-phono adapter is plugged into the TV scart.
The switch on the scart adapter should be set to out (for output).
insert tape and start it playing back.
Hopefully your capture software will start working. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

there is only one scart socket in the back of my video, there is no sockets for the yellow white and red plugs, this is why im using the scart, ive plugged it to output but still no joy.All the big powers they've silenced me. Have you checked that the VHS machine is not faulty.
What happens when you run the editing software, does it recognise the USB device.
Have you tried it with Moviemaker, does that see the adapter? That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -

Have you connected your video recorder to a TV via its Scart socket to see if it is producing an output signal?
Also, some VCRs have video and audio phono connectors hidden behind a front panel hinged door, which may not be obvious.0 -
the video works fine, easy cap has been detected by my pc, ive tried using windows movie maker, i press the little switch on the scart to 'in' and play the machine, but nothing. All the big powers they've silenced me.
