Italian driving fine
*Famy*
Hi, this is my fist post on here so apologies if I do it wrong!!
I wonder if anyone can help please....
I went to Florence on holiday in July 2009 and received a fine about 6 months later from the italian police for driving in a "restricted area"!! When I initially contacted them I was advised that if I sent over proof that I had been staying in Florence at the time the fine would be cancelled, which I did, but it has not! They have now written to me (over a year later!) to say I have to appeal in Italian to the courts and if they disagree the end result could be that I have to pay double the original amount. I wasn't even aware there was a restricted driving zone!! Does anyone have any advice please? I've tried citizens advise and they were uselsess!
Any suggestions much appreciated

There was a thread going back some weeks ago about the zones in Florence, i'm sure there was advice in it about this, try the link below:
https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2597775Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0
