Games Makers (Volunteers) London 2012 Olympics

Applications to volunteer to help out during the 2012 Olympics Games in London opened yesterday (22/09)

Applications closes on October 27th

You will receive meal vouchers and free public transport on the days that you volunteer, and you’ll get to keep your uniform as a souvenir. :)

    I can't see why this thread is on the Charity Board.

    The Olympics is a very commercial event, with many people making a lot of money out of it personally.

    The only thing the Olympics has done for charities all over the UK is reduce the funding they were getting from central government, local government and the lottery to pay for an event in London.

    Now they are asking for volunteers, who could if they had a desire to help the community offer their services deserving charities and other voluntary organisations.
