Yet Another Paypal Scam (read My Reply)

Hi.

The other day i received an email from supposed paypal regarding security breaches. I would imagine others have had similar emails where as you have to enter your personal details etc.

Well....

I was a little bored and as i had received this before, on another email address on which i do not have a paypal account, i did this, knowing it was a scam.

i pressed the link to where it asks you to enter your user name and password. I entered a ficticious name and pw, it was..... JORDENBIGTITS33GG@hitmail.com
pw was.... 999letsbeavenue

well to my suprise (not) that username and pw got me onto the main site. Then i just filled in the rest of the security update with swear words, such as address..... 999 F*** YOU street i bet the scammer got a shock trying to get to this account>

word of warning though don@t be fooled by any emails< from paypal or ebay that start with the message DEAR MEMBER
All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

It's probably better not to make any reply at all. The link could take you somewhere where you get hit by a virus, spyware or other nasty. If I were you I'd be running a full scan about now.....
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

Unfortunately by responding the scammers know they have a valid email address.

There have also been incidences where rather unpleasant trojan type virus's (or is that viri?) have been downloaded unwittingly to log key strokes.

It is best to ignore these and leave them well alone.

  • silkyuk....by replying you've confirmed to them that you have a valid e-mail addy.

Just hope they don't backtrack and discover who sent the spam message. Their knowledge of the internet is WAY ahead of yours................just be very careful with any e-mails you get for a while..................and make sure your virus systems are up to date and switched on.

As others said I would NEVER reply to them.... it's relatively easy for log key fiends to blast your system if they feel so inclined.
