I think they can have their cake and eat it with large losses being considered as deprivation of capital.0 -
Wouldn't they have to look at how much of his own money he used in order to win in the first place, i.e. he may have used £600 to win the £1000 meaning the profit was only £400. Sorry if I'm being thick but I've never really gambled on anything apart from the odd lottery ticket.
I'm not sure what I feel about this, my brother bets on the horses at least a couple of times a week and even though he's has some decent(ish) wins if we looked at his profits I'm sure it'd be the Bookmaker who comes out on top. Well you never see a poor bookie do you?0
