Ergohuman Chairs - Top Class

Finally got my new ergonomic chair, paid £450 and had to wait around 6 weeks for it because they're built to order. All I can say is. In love!

For those who think I'm going OTT on the chair price, that's cheap. Some chairs can be over £1000 easy, you can't risk your health when it comes to computers. A good chair will last you forever and keep your posture correct.

I bought this exact chair....

Simplistic design, takes 6 screws and about 5 mins to put together and it gives you that realiability feel you know you've got when you spend large amounts of money and worry it's not going to last. Well this one does :)

I'd highly recommend it if people have the money to spend, I seriously doubt you will regret it. Although beware of the quoted waiting time on that website, because it's incorrect. They don't stock it, they get the parts in on containers then build them. My only gripe.

Your link shows you could have bought it for £350!
I'm sure the extra £100 was for gold-plating...! :rotfl:

(PS It says it is suitable for only up to 8 hours of use.)

    As below, VAT isn't included.

Regarding the suitable for only up to 8 hours. Not at all, you are misunderstanding what that comment means. It doesn't say it's suitable for UP to 8 hours usage. It just means it has been tested and is suitable FOR environment where you need 8 hour usage. Have a read on the specifics of the specification it confirms to

ERGOHUMAN conforms to BS 5459-2:2000 Specification for performance requirements and tests for office furniture. Office pedestal seating for use by persons weighing up to 150kg and for use up to 24 hours a day, including type-approval tests for individual components

Yep, correct. Worth every penny imo

    Comfier though!

Never tried Aeron although I know they are a decent make aswell. I've seen the name mentioned a lot. If Ergohuman are knock offs I'd hate to try and compare the luxury of one to the ergo. Would be like a bed of rocks against bed of pillows. One is already comfy as hell to start with :D

That seems to me to be a very subtle distinction.

So you have bought something which is for use up to 24 hours per day, but no more?!

PS you don't have shares in this chair company, do you?

    No worries John

Yeah, it's limited to 24hrs usage max. 1 second past those 24 hours and your dooomed, the chair falls apart and initiates a countdown...just a theory :D

I don't own shares in the company, but I do believe in plugging a good product. That and I also don't create my own posts much on this forum so wanted to have a discussion about something :) :rotfl:
