Why wouldn't you save 30% and use the free complaints service yourself?
You can get plenty of help writing letters for free on sites like this and it costs very little (stamp money).0 -

Seeing as most claims companies seem to be opportunistic set ups designed to encourage try-it-on and fraudulent claims so they can get paid money up front, the general consensus is not to use one.
They key reasons are:
The complaints process is free of charge. Why pay a company 30% plus VAT for them to submit a template letter (which is what most use) that you can get free of charge
Claims companies tend to have a lower success rate than personalised complaints
Most Claims companies dont understand the products they are complaining about (cue recent thread where a claims company thought a life & CI policy was PPI and didnt actually know what CI was)
If you have been mis-sold then its actually very easy to get redress. If you havent been mis-sold then you shouldnt be trying it on by putting in a fraudulent claim.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
