it is possible to put a redirect link from the old board to the new board

don't know about other BG's but I put a time limit of a day on the link so it will vanish in the end

I give it a week ...

I used to say in the post saying I was moving it, where I was moving it too, then realised that was a bit of waste of time because you could see where it was now!

I find it is often useful to know that a thread has been moved from another board, if I only stumble across it on the new board, so the message saying it has been moved is useful (but I agree saying where it is moved to is superfluous as it's already there)

I guess I'm missing something then, will be more vigilant in future. Thanks for the replies
