Boyfriend Moving In - How much should he contribute?

I'd half all the household bills down the middle as you would if you were renting together. As for the mortgage you could agree a "rental" amount with him but you would then also have to recognise that as a renter of sorts he would reasonably expect to have a say in how the house is run etc. I think you should definately talk it over with him about what he feels is fair and how much of a say he would have in the overall management of the house.0

My partner and I have differing incomes so rather than pay half and half we both pay a percentage of our income into a joint account each month from which all the combined household bills are taken out. Anything personal we pay ourselves.
I don't like the idea of her paying half of every bill (particularly as I'm the one running most of them up because I work from home) because it would leave her with less money each month, hence why I favour paying a percentage into a joint account.0
