Techie computer question

Is it possible to run my laptop direct from my pc harddrive?

    You could try putting the PC HD into a USB HD enclosure, then boot the laptop up from USB, no guarantee that it will work though!!
  • Laptops tend to have manufacturer versions of windows (xp) as they need specific drivers for the touch pad and other devices. It will still probably work using Phill79's idea, but be prepared to have to download drivers and loose some functionality until it is sorted.

    Do you want to operate the laptop from the other computer and have access to that hard drive? Because that is do-able.

    I am not sure what you are trying to achieve by running a laptop from a desktop hard drive. If there is a specific aim you are trying for, we might be able to help more.
