Saving for the big day!

Me and my Fiancee are planning on getting married next year but we are unsure whats the best accounts out there to save with. Can anyone please help i have looked round at all the rates and the highest i can find is 2.75% which sounds low to me. can any one please help

    If you are saving on a regular basis there are accounts available with a better rate of interest than that, take a look here:

    Beware regular savers as you can not usually get at your money for a year. That means if you have expenses to pay before that (wedding dress, venue deposit etc) you might get stuck.

    Probably better to stick with an instant access account in which case I'm afraid the rates are all pretty poor.

    I don't really understand the point of this - if you're looking for an account to save money in to get married next year, why is the interest rate important? Given the sums likely to be involved, interest earned will be negligible.
