Keyfinder: A tiny mobile phone or little pager to keep on my car keys?

I'm after a small, light-weight mobile phone to go on my car keys, or a tiny pager or something.
So I can ring, or page it, if/when I've lost my keys, and hopefully track down where my keys are in the house or wherever I think I've mislaid them.
I've got a bad habit of mislaying my keys, and so have a few other people I know, and it's stressful when you can't find your car keys.
I've not yet found anything suitable, but have seen tiny mobile phones are heading in that direction... where you could have something lightweight and tiny on your keyring.

If either of those had a sturdy looking connector to attach on my car-keys.. I might be interested. And if they looked like they could take a bit of bashing about, which they don't atm,... such as when you use your keys everyday.. scraping against the keys themselves, dropping them.
My request here is: If you see anything which might be suitable, could you make a post here to let me know? (not some brick of a device though - has to be lightweight.) Preferably not more than £40 either.
I'm surprised no business hasn't come up with such a solution yet... even if it was just a tiny box, with rechargeable battery, to go on your keyring with your car keys, with SIM that can only "receive" incoming calls (to keep device size small).... so you can phone it and get it to ring out when you mislay your keys around the house (or wherever).
All those remote key-finders are rubbish in my opinion, with their little cell batteries, which run out of battery power so quickly.

Even the specs, when they are listed (I've looked at Chinese import specs for loads of key finders), admit the batteries are good for 3 months at most. In my experience they drain within two weeks for the receiver and not much longer for the transmitter. What good is having a keyfinder fob with a dead receiver when you've lost your keys? A little mobile phone with a battery you can recharge every week would be a much better solution, imo.

How about this from maplins:

Great for stupid people who loose things (although i thought it might be useful for when my toddler goes running off)0 -
Maybe a lo-tech solution...

Tie one end to the keys and the other to a body part of your choice.0 -
Talk about over-complicating an issue.....
Solutions;
A key bowl
A key cabinet/cupboard
A key hook
A key drawer
A desk tidy for your keys0 -
Of course it's also a recursive problem - you need to be able to find the bit of kit that sets the keys off beeping.
The fixed place for leaving them is the best solution. Since adopting that policy I don't lose my keys. I tried it with glasses too but if you don't have to wear them all the time there is always the temptation to take them off and put them nearby so mine regularly go awol

A woman appeared on Dragon's Den with this. She passed-it-off as something new.Never Knowingly Understood.
