Easyjet baggage allowances

I have booked a holiday for 2 people with holiday hypermarket and the flight is an easyjet one. The price included hold baggage. On getting my confirmation it states that "A combined weight allowance of 20kgs for hold and hand luggage applies". In effect this gives no weight allowance for the checked in bag.
Easyjet themselves allow 20kg checked in plus hand baggage if you pay for one bag.

Has anyone come across this before?

Easyjet don't have a weight restriction for hand luggage just a size restriction.

You can take as much as you want but it must be within the size dimensions, wheels, handles the lot.

So make sure your bag is the right size and cram it with as much as you can

That's what I thought. Presumably they just have the wording wrong - I hope!!

If 2 people are travelling together with 1 piece of hold luggage, you are allowed 32kg between you.
