Health Insurance and Treatment

Hi
I have no choice but to go private now, after being informed last week I am a Glaucoma suspect after a routine eye sight test.
I have been told I will have to wait 3 months to get to see a consultant on the NHS, before I even know if I have Glaucoma and to access treatment.
My GP offers no support or advice regards what I can do to help the possible condition.
I have now been referred by my opticians to a private Glaucoma practice, I am told payment must be made at each appointment.
My questions are,
Can I anyway get an account?
Is there ANY health insurance firm that will insure me with this possible condition, keeping in mind it has NOT been diagnosed as of yet?
And is there anyway I can get the NHS to pay partly to wards the cost, what they would have if I was seen on the NHS?
And finally, is there anywhere I can get funding possibly?
I know, I should have had health insurance
I face losing everything to pay for private treatment, but that's a price I am prepared to pay.
Thanks in advance for any advice offered/given

Do you have choices about where you can go for your treatment?
In Bristol we have several places to chose from so you can find out their waiting times and go somewhere more quickly.
I would investigate this, because you do have choice of wherer to go in the NHS these days.
There may be a specialist clinic you can go to rather than wait for a hospital appointment (for example I believe in Bristol there is a center at Emersons Green for eyes rather than waiting longer).0
