DFS BIBA Sofa

Hello,

I have read a similar thread on here regarding a DFS BIBA Sofa after googling for people with similar problems.

Here is our situation so far

Just over a year ago we bought the BIBA from the Bolton Middlebrook store, when we was looking in the shop for a sofa we had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted (Leather, corner sofa, 3 seats, etc) each time we visited the store we went with the kids and also explained to any sale person we spoke to we needed something hard wearing and easy to clean etc. We tested the BIBA and loved it, I asked questions regarding how long the shop model had been in use in the shop to give us an idea of how the sofa aged with use and the sales man told us it had been in there a few years, perfect we thought this was the sofa for us, hardwaring, easy to clean, ages well and the seats still looked good and not sunken.

A few weeks later it arrived it looked the part and was just like we saw in the shop, we had also purchased the cleaning cloths to keep the sofa tip top and within the 1st couple of weeks like you do we was taking the cloths for a lap around our new leather sofa, we had a little shock when the cloths were turning brown with every wipe, not sure if this was supposed to happen or not but something wasnt right, just after this one I rested my knee on the arm and it broke, we rang DFS up and they came out, as soon as Mr DFS came in the house he made the following coment "oh thats gone dark hasnt it" up to this point we handnt really noticed the colour as we see it every day but upon checking the older pictures we had taken it had gone considerably darker, we checked the web site and it had changed colour considerably and had also lost its suede look and feel.

A couple of weeks later we noticed some stitching coming lose and the main seat dropping somewhat, we rang DFS and also mentioned the colour and they sent a man out, he repaired both items and gave us the standard DFS fob off regarding the colour. I mentioned that we wasnt happy with the colour and wanted something done about it but he said nothing would be done.

I then left it for a few months as we had other issues at home to deal with.

I recently rang them to get them to come and see our now even darker sofa, as usual they agreed but this time they came round and basicly said it was our fault, it was grease from our bodies, it was the kids, the dog, he went on blaming everything up to a point were the wife joined in, now he must of wound her up because she never gets involved... He continued to blame us and said it needs a professional cleaning, in my opinion this wont work as it seems some kind of coating has worn off. I explained to him I will not let this go and I WILL fight this as far as it takes to WIN.

I am prepared to take the sofa to the store in a van every weekend and sit outside on it warning people before they go in the store (is this legal?)

Thanks for reading this far, if possible do you have an advise on what my next step should be please?

Thanks Again!:T
