Dear all, I have an iPod Touch 1st generation, 16GB, which is about 3 years old.

At the moment, it refuses to charge either via usb cable or the wall charger. I have tried almost everything - resetting, checking the cable, and even buying a new usb wall charger (not the original Apple one, I have to say).

I suspect the problem is the battery itself. Maybe it is dead.

Do you know whether an Apple store is able to repair the battery and how much it might cost? I want to know the price to see if it is worth repairing or if it would be better to buy a second-hand iPod .

Thank you.
