Partner balance transfer

Looking for some agreement on the following -

I have £600 on my halifax credit card and applied for a bank of scotland credit card (0% for 13 months) in order to transfer the £600 over (and receive the 0% benefit).

However, I was told that as they are the same company, this wasnt possible.

Therefore, can you tell me if it's ok to do the following -

Transfer the £600 to my partners credit card from my halifax card THEN transfer this to my bank of scotland 0% card.....

Is that OK?? Can they stop me transfering the balance back on as Im pretty sure they will be wise to what Im doing??

Any advice would be appreciated!!

As long as your partner credit card is not from the Bank f Scotland Group then it will work, you'll have 2 set of fees which will be around £36.00 for both transfers....

Get into the habit of reading:

    1. The pre-application information...

"Balance transfers from other Bank of Scotland or Halifax cards are not eligible for the 0% balance transfer offer."

    2. The online application form balance transfer conditions...

"Transfers from loan companies, bank accounts and other cards issued by Halifax and Bank of Scotland are not accepted. There are also certain cards from which we cannot make balance transfers. Please call us for details on 0845 604 7000."

    3. The T&Cs...

"The special promotion rates will not apply to balances we agree to transfer to this account from other cards issued by Bank of Scotland plc. These will be charged at the appropriate standard interest rate shown above for the type of transaction originally carried out."

BEFORE you apply for a product in future.
