Halloween
Hi, As part of my GCE Business, i have to set up my own mini company, our target market is Halloween, i was just wondering how much the average people spend during the hallowenn period, what people do at Halloween and how popular Halloween really is. If you could answer these questions for me it would be a really big help.
Thank you.
Thank you.

I love halloween, I actually prefer it to christmas. My husband and I always go out on halloween night whether its St Fagans or Coldicot castle or Llancaichfawr (tickets are like rocking horse poop). I have lots of decorations like witch statues, cobwebs, flying bats and themed tableware that gets put out a day or two before the actual day (what's the point for one day?). I really go all out. I'd love to visit the States one year as they appear to do it with much more vigor than we (boring) Brits do.:A:A:A:A:A:A0

I don't 'do' halloween and don't do anything 'special' either.
I think the whole thing has become americanised - when I was younger it was a case of bobing apples and making a pumpkin latern ....never would have entertained the idea of 'trick or treating'.2014 Target;
To overpay CC by £1,000.

We bob apples and trick n treat but only with a adult and people we know around local. Kids make a big effort and i spend around £50 60 quid on silly stuff to decorate and make up sweets etc a good night and better than fireworks:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

I spend nothing on halloween & even when my children were small we did no more than bob for apples - cost 4 apples!
DH is scottish & he is horrified by the commercialisation of what was a fun, family based sort of 'celebration' - his mother does a bit extra baking to hand to the neighbour's kids who dress up in (home-made) costumes. They call it 'guising' & are expected to sing or recite for their treat, certainly no 'tricks' are involved.
My elderly neighbours are worried by the thought of damage & mess (eg egg throwing) & dread the week long nastiness that happens (or might happen iyswim).
Local bakers seem to do a good trade in ghost, bat & pumpkin shaped iced biscuits!I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0
