Air con problem on new fiesta zetec 1.25

Hi i have just bought 60 plate fiesta zetec 1.25 and i am happy with it but every time i start the car the air con comes on automatically. Each time i have to remember to switch it off manually and it is starting to get really annoying. Has anyone else got a new fiesta with the same problem? Would love to hear from any one else with a new fiesta. Thanks

Agreed, I discovered this feature on my new Fiesta. Turn the air vents from the windscreen and point at your feet/face instead.

Is it manual aircon or climate?

If its climate control then let the car decide what it wants to do.
Aircon should be used all year round. Not just in the summer when people seem to think.

Otherwise there will be a post on here in 3 years time saying "Car out of warranty, dealer not helping with aircon not working..."

Totally agree, all the problematic systems are the ones turned on a handful of times a year.

It also speeds up demisting a lot, which it's why I think it's crazy people don't use it!

Thanks Benham 3161 you were correct i was leaving it in the demist position. Feel a bit silly now glad i didnt take it back to the dealers!!! :T
