I had a 'word' with a couple of employment law solicitors who advised me I definitely have a case here. I then had a further word with the employer and lo and behold they have called me back and confirmed me in the position, starting soon.
Complete and utter balderdash. There is no such law or legal pecedent and if they claim there is - what is it? I smell troll - time wasting our time on made up stories.0 -

So in the space of three days you managed to have appts with a couple of sols and get a contract agreed and issued? You have clearly never worked in the public sector, because (aside from the fact you have no case) things do not work that quickly.
