Its a common mistake to assume DD increase must be as a result of a price rise. This is one possible reason but there are others:-
Is there a debit on the account?
Are they calculating the payment over six months of 12 months? (you'll use a lot more in the comig six months than in the previous six months)
Were you on a special tariff or rate which has come to an end?
Without any further info my guess would be one of the first two. There is a debit, or they are calculating the amount taking into account the time of year, or a bit of both.Mixed Martial Arts is the greatest sport known to mankind and anyone who says it is 'a bar room brawl' has never trained in it and has no idea what they are talking about.0 -
I wondered if anyone knows whether e-on's prices have risen recently (Sept 2010)? They are hiking the d/d by £44 a month - and not sure that there has been that kind of increase in usage to justify same. Would be grateful for any info please.
Not sure if prices have gone up, but from my own experience as an ex EOn customer - they have a habit of doing this every so often, even when as you say your usage has not increased to justify the amount they are asking.
I always rang CS and asked them not to do this, and to keep the DD at the current level. Never had it refused. A couple of times "the computer" got blamed for "automatically" putting these rises in.
That was one of the resaons why I left them - fed up with their underhand way of using me as a bank to part finance their company.0
