Don't get me wrong if this person was entitled to non means tested benefits or DLA or carers allowance, then I would say fill your boots, if they are non means tested then they are there for all, though I doubt that if I won the lottery that I would have any interest in claiming non means tested benefits.
But working abroad is a privilage, to be used to take advantage of the tax free income, not take the mickey because you can get away with it.
How many times do we read on the forums about genuine disabled people having problems getting what they are entitled to, this is due to people taking the mickey when they know they can get away with it. The UK used to be the kind of place where only the criminals tried to get what they weren't entitled, everybody else would only consider benefits when they had no other choice.
I, for one, miss the country that this used to be.0 -
