I see that there's a £50 incentive through Quidco to open one of these, how would you rate the risk/return please when comparing to a standard cash ISA at around 3%.
Thanks

Hi
A FTSE 100 Tracker is a completely different beast to a standard cash ISA, it carries more risk, should be considered a longer term investment, the value will rise and fall....need I go on?
Don't get hoodwinked by small incentives like £50, make the right decisions for the right reasons.

The Virgin Tracker funds are pretty much the worst index tracking funds you can get. Just like most of the Virgin financial products.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Any reference to that brand makes me visualise a horrible leering hairy fizzog. That alone puts me right off!
There is a joke in there but I am not sure the board has the necessary age ratings

50 incentive would be good if you were only putting a hundred in. It all depends, I'd say thats a very nice risk return ratio
L&G did something similar but wanted 1500, not so good
The FTSE 100 could half but most would say Ftse 2800 is fairly unlikely0
