Phone the insuance co. connected with the card 0845 206 4466 before buying. I have done this a number of times before I have made purchases just to make sure.

Yes, I used it for 32" LCD. Am not sure about bigger size though.
BTW, where did you find this on their website? Could you post a link?

I think they added this list recently. It was available only on their leaflet before.
From my experience I can warn that 'Video Recorder' doesn't include PVRs. Allegedly they don't cover any devices containing hard drive ...

Just been through this loop myself, having brought a 37" Panasonic Plasma.

I contacted Nationwide, and after being transferred, I was informed that the extended 1 year warrantee does not apply to any televisions containing a Free View Decoder. This was a couple of months back so things of course may now be different and may well be so looking down their list.

As advised above, contact them and ask if the model is/is not covered.

As the telly I wanted contained a Free View decoder and was not covered, I decided to use my Egg card instead and claim the cashback (with a load more cashback from Quidco).

My TV does have a freeview tuner. However, I wasn't asked about this when registering it for the extended warranty with NW ... I think it is possible to challenge them for publishing the list and then interpreting it in the way they want. I just didn't want to waste my time for the sake of my £250 Personal Video Recorder. I wouldn't give up with an expensive TV...
