I don't know what's wrong with them, but I have had a few similar to that. I just cut the bits off and still used them !
I'd be interested to know the answer.

I get this, taters still edible, and as you say not every one.0 -
I had this too, on some of mine. I just made sure I let them dry out quite well, and have used those ones up rather than storing them. They were perfectly fine once peeled.Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...

cool thanks guys, how do you let them dry out? do you just leave them outside?0

Scab. Just peel it off.
means that your tats got too dry at some stage. next year, add some grass cuttings or a bit of garden compost at the bottom of the hole and it will reduce the problem.
You do not need to dry them, just make sure that you harvest them on a dry day and keep them in paper sacks. If the weather is fine, leave them on the ground for a day before bagging up, as it helps the skins set.If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing0 -
Scab, lots of mine turned out like that. I boiled them in their skins and then peeled them and used them as usual...i found them easier to peel when cooked first.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200
