Business Account for Poor Credit

Hi,

I need a basic business account for my recruitment consultancy company (no credit needed) and have seen recs for Natwest for this type of account.

My question is as a Ltd company - what details will they require from me to open such an account?

There are 2 people in the business (me and my GF) we both live at different addresses (but I dont really have utility bills apart from mob - will that be a problem?) and the Ltd company is registered to an address in London. What address would the business account use / require?

My GF has great credit history and I on the other hand have a bad credit rating after a personal issue. She is also going to remain employed (with another company) until we get off the ground. - Does anyone know what tax implications this could have? / would it be better to just have the company under my name until she leaves?

Any help greatly appreciated

    Business bank account searching...

It's a good idea to compare business bank accounts. What are you looking for; do you earn your money via cash in hand, online, cheques or all three?

Several banks offer 18 months or 2 years free banking. Try searching for the ones with low transaction charges.:)

You may also want to consider opening a separate business deposit account for your tax savings>> i.e VAT, corporation tax etc etc.

    Banks...

    Lloyds TSB
    Barclays
    HSBC
    Natwest
    Clydesdale
    Citi
    Halifax

    Opening the bank account...

Most banks will require Limited companies to have with them the following documents to open a business bank account:

    business side
    -company registration number
    -company address
-details of when the business was established
    -predicted turnover details

    personal side
-ID; like a passport or driving license for proof of identity
-proof of address; like a utility bill and or bank statement

Poor credit issue-- well, I would not worry too much about it just make sure you have the correct documents and start looking for the bank account right for you and the business. I've heard many people with poor credit histories get what they want. This is what I can help you with. Wish you and the business well.
