I am doing a cross stitch, and with my ms made a mistake and had to unpick a lot of one colour, and couldn't save the thread, didn't think much of it until i ran out of the colour Monday night.

I tried 3 different shops yesterday, no one stocks this particular thread, and the conversion to DMC or Anchor for this colour is not good.


I decided to email Bothy Threads to see if they could help and advise.

This morning i received in the post more than enough thread to cover.

I really nice woman called Kate, took it upon herself to see what i needed and and sent free of charge.

This has saved me a lot of money and no more chasing around trying to find the colour.


Well Done Bothy Threads, you have made me really happy.

What a great story. I'll definitely be on the lookout for their kits knowing that they have such good customer service.

It's so annoying when you have to unpick, the thread is never the same once used is it.

Same price but i got mine from cotton crosses, who sadly are no longer going to sell anything but their own stuff

Bothy Threads are a little more expensive, but after my experiences yesterday with them, customer services are brilliant, I know that i will get the help and advice i need.

I bought a bothy threads kit from a store once, got the kit and half the threads were missing. I can't remember why but I didn't do anything about it at the time and then just forgot.

I found it again about 18 months after and remembered about the missing threads. I phoned them up to find out if I could buy them off them, I was expecting to pay as I hadn't bought it direct from them and I had no proof of purchase. They had no problem sending them out to me free of charge which I was really impressed with.

I love their kits, they do some lowry ones which I've always fancied doing just never got round to it.
