Given that you feel strongly about this you can alway try the FOS. LLoys should put you in the position you were prior to thier error. Trouble is there's nothing they can do about the other credit searches, although they were in some sense thier fault.

Actually, HBOS lost the money. The Government persuaded LTSB to buy the problem before it's size was known. So your Government cost the taxpayer big time. Except the share price is now higher than that paid by taxpayers.
