How did they do it. I'm using Ubuntu's Evolution emailer and was wondering how they used a spoofed email address if that's the right word, to arrive in my inbox. Thanks for any replies.

They put your address in the BCC.

Your email address was in the Envelope-To: header which will be discarded by the destination email server. If you look in the header of this email you still might find something like this.
Received: from localhost (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by xxx (Postfix) with ESMTP id 6BE863FF86 for <xxx@xxx.xxx>; Wed, 22 Sep 2010 12:00:01 +0100 (BST)0 -

Since I installed Ubuntu a few years ago this is the first time I've noticed this has happened. I'm not a techie just an old lady trying to stay ahead of the malware that plagued me when I was using Windows - apologies to Windows users and gamers because of their necessary requirements.Peel back your baby's eyelid to find no nationality or religious identity mark there. I built my own desktop computer from scratch a few years ago - shoved it together on a wing and a prayer really and its still going.
