Using Natwest Visa debit card abroad

I tried to withdraw cash from my Natwest account from a Deutsche Bank ATM while in Germany, using my (purple) Visa debit card. The card was rejected. Can this type of card be used for cash withdrawal abroad? If so, can anyone say which banks accept the card? The Natwest site doesn't provide this info. Many thanks for any details or pointers to sources of information.

I used mine yesterday and I'm in the US at the moment. Call them on 00441312780277, as they might have declined it as it flagged as a fraudulent transaction. I called them before I left the UK and told them i may be be using my card abroad and the girl gave me that number for if I have any problems using my cardDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0
