hi could anybody recommend the best (and cheapest) of the hotels at the airport for an early start in December. we would need a family room. The premier inn is 29 room only which is brill but can't see if you can park there for 1 week for free. Looked at another couple hilton and crown plaza I think but on tripadviser you can only look at prices for 2 adults rather than family of 4 so difficult to calclate prices. any tips and personal recommendsions would be much appreciated. thanks

I would be very surprised if you could pay for only one night at the hotel and get a whole week free parking as it would work out cheaper than parking alone at nearly all the other car parking facilities at/near Liverpool airport, however, if it can be done please let me know as I would be very interested as I fly from Liverpool at least 4-6 times a year and park at airport for under £30 for a week (without hotel) - looking on car parking sites the cheapest hotel with a week parking I could find was £70 through Holiday Extras with breakfast included (but depending on how early a start you would need you may miss breakfast anyway),also did not know your exact dates so a bit of guestimation involved - where are you coming from? Do you really need a hotel? What time is your flight?:j:T Total Prize Value 2012 - £1835 :T:j
:AThanx to all the good people that post comps (and answers!):A

I'd also advise to park at the airport, if you book in advance it can work out a lot cheaper
there's 3 hotels close by
the Premier Inn, not sure if thiis is open yet, its due to open anytime now though, not sure about partking here yet
the Holiday Inn Express, has a large car park to, I'd contact the hotel direct about charges etc
or the Crown Plaza, opposite Speke Retail park
both the Holiday Inn Express & the Crown Plaza would have some sort of car parking deal
however as already advised it could be cheaper to book in advance & park at the airport
there's also hotel now on site at the airport, however I would imagine thiis to be expensive0 -
date dependant, Holiday Extras offer 8 days parking at Liverpool for £28.79, long stay on airport parking. add this to the £29.00 room price you have found and you have less than £58.00 total.I used to be a Travel Agent Used to be a travel agent for 23 Years, but now out of the industry. However I will help with what i can.0

hi there thanks for all your advice and replies. the date in question is the night of the 16th and we are only travelling from leeds. I just thought say we get up on the morning and there's really bad fog or ice/snow the journey over could be rather fraught and started looking at this possibility of staying over the night before. the hotels that offer free parking only quote it in conjunction with a twin room but presumably would include it with a family room. The Premier Inn is the cheapest but when you click on the details i don't think it is actually that near the airport. Will just have to persuade the OH now that it would be nice to go for a quick break at that time of the year. thanks again0
