Much Elec Saved from defrosting fridge freezer

Finally got around to doing this after putting if off for ages. Ice was up to 1.2 inch thick in some places. Would I be right in assuming I should use less electricity now?

yes, its supposed too, but you could always install a plug in power measurement device to see if thats the case failing that do a google search for me thats the most effective way of finding a solution
