WHich printer?

Hi - I work for myself, and need a good printer, but don;t want to spend any more than I have to!

Ideally it would also allow me to scan stuff, and print photos, and have cheap cartridges.

I don;t particularly mind if it's slow, but I do need reliable and easy to use.

WHat would you suggest?

I've just got an Epson stylus photo R240 from Argos for £70 and I'm impressed. October sale though, so hurry.........

    Here's a review.

HEWLETT PACKARD C4180 3 in one

brilliant for that price and has lcd screen and pics are like photos, handy software, easy to get cheap refills and also get the cashback. brother is good but imo HP one is better option as service is excellent if anything goes wrong and quality is well..... quality.

If things go wrong with Epson and my last 2 have and my friends, and my mothers, then the back up is terrible.

I don't like the sound of that, and Epson have good reviews:confused: . Do you have any specifics?

Strange, mine broke last month. I got it back 8 days ago in perfect working order and with a new cartridge.

The back up if you go direct to Epson is terrible - you're supposed to go via their reseller.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I have an OLD Epson 740 which after approx 7 years is still working as good as the day I bought it (above average use as well) - touch wood.
I love it that much that I am currently trying to source another one (starting a business need a 2nd printer). So if anyone is upgrading and doing away with either a 740 or 760 please PM me as I would be interested in buying it (if in working/good order).
