compare tariffs

Why is it so damn hard to find a simple table of all the tarifs available, thats to say a list/database, rather than all the "compare tariffs" by way of calculations/useage/where you are/blah blah

they sure are shy arent they

i believe my websave8 is 30p/unit rate 1, 9p/unit rate 2 and 4p/unit rate 3. but rate 1 is for the 1st 175 units in a 6month period (so they can say they dont charge a standing charge now......

  • sounds like you're on an economy 7 tariff - unless you have storage heaters you should get off that immediately!!

Because it's not a simple case of comparing tariffs.

Most suppliers use what is known as 'confusion marketing; making their tariffs somewhat difficult to understand in the hope you won't see they are not the cheapest.
However, they are twarted somewhat by the comparison sites, who will show you the cost of all the options.

I have E7 and don't have storage heaters. Should I follow your advice?

You see I've done the calculations and following your advice would cost me money.

  • im running 3 of our 4 NSRs (on a low setting) now that its gone chilly (and damp - just a bit)

in 27 days we haave used 413kw on "nights" and 435KW on days = £55 (less 10% discount but plus an inital higher rate for about £10 worth)

so im working on £2.25 per 24hrs - on websaver8
