My lilies & Gladioli have flowered, do let the leaves die naturally? Thanks

    Yes, to an extent.
The lillies will reduce to withered stalks and soon you will be able to waggle the stalk and it will be come free. You can then dispose of , in the compost of course ?
The Glads flowers will wane and in around a months time will require you to pull up the complete plant. You then need to cut away the stalks about 1 inch above the corm and remove the old corm from the bottom of this years new one. Store the new corm wrapped in a few layers of newspaper in a cool dark place, ready for replanting next spring.

I have the same problem. I wanted to know this. Ive cut them down to about 1" from the ground but below that are green bud type things. Im not sure what to do, I guessed that maybe just to leave to die.
    Kind Regards

Bill, I am going to let mine die, I guess it is a bit like with daffs, you cannot cut the leaves off. I am going to leave them in the ground and take my chances that they will come back.

They are a cut flower as you see them in shops etc. So I guess this wouldnt harm them.
    Kind Regards
