Jet2.com Children's seat allocation

We've flown before with jet2.com with our 2 children - we require 3 seats as one child is less than 2 years old.

It used to be the case that if you were booking infant/child seats Jet2.com automatically reserved your seats at the point of booking so that you did not need to pay the £3.99 per seat per flight allocation fee (it would be £24 for our trip) and they would make sure you were sitting together.

However, checking the website today, the section where this was made quite clear on the website has been removed since we last travelled, so I'm worried about not buying allocated as we do need to all sit together.

The only way to ask them is to telephone a premium rate phone number (£0.50 per minute), which I'm not too keen on.

So, does anyone know if seats are still allocated on booking when travelling with infants/children?

Thanks

  • I work for Jet2.com.

You will be sat together - your seats will either be pre-allocated beforehand or other people will be seat-changed to accommodate you. If I was you, I would turn up at the airport early as it will be easier to do it without inconveniencing yourselves and others.

But it may be cheaper to do two bookings. One for you and one child, the other for partner and the other child, the problem is you may not sit together, unless you arrive early.

Why? I thought the prices were on a per seat basis. Please can you explain, as I'm more than happy happy to save some more cash.

Yeah the seats are priced per seat, they would more than likely increase the fare once you have booked 2 seats

    book them all together

Hi, we'd like to book flights to Crete via jet2 for May 2011,but our 8 yr olds passport will expire by then (Mar 2011) -
Do we have to wait (and likely see the flight-prices increase) or can we
book now and show the 'renewal' (different passport/number)
at the airport which will be different to the current passport no we'd have to use to book now?

Are the flight prices likely to increase soon, I don't suppose anyone has any voucher codes?
    Cheers
    :)

Don't know if jet2 are any different but I've never needed to give my passport no when booking flights/holidays before.

We booked our flights yesterday with Jet2.com and didn't need to give passport numbers.

With most airlines you only need to provide the API online before you checkin (online or airport).

Yes, this is how it works with Jet2.com. Book now if you're happy with the price.

The cheapest way will be to book online and select online check-in.
