Howdens Kitchens versus Wicks Kitchens

I've got kitchen designers from both Howdens and Wicks coming round tomorrow to re-design my kitchen. The Wicks sale will be starting shortly with 50% off but with Howdens, you can't get a price unless it is through a builder, although I believe the discounts are good from Howdens.

Apparently there is a Howdens sale coming up in October when they sell to the general public. Does anyone know if the whole range is discounted in October or is it only the ranges that they want to get rid of.

They discount everything.

There is no real discernable difference between Howdens and Wickes. You can argue the toss all day but they are similar quality, similar pricepoints. They will both last the same sort of time. I think Wickes have thicker backs to the carcasses but there's no issue with rigidity with either kitchen. They will both last a similar amount of time. Both seem to use the same fittings for the soft close units and there is a definite similarity in the quality of the doors.

If I were to choose one kitchen over the other it would be purely on price.

Howdens' sale is on earlier this year and began on Mon 20th.

After having designs from both Wickes and Howdens, I am about to order from Howdens.

Mainly on price, but also on design. Because I couldn't make my kitchen 10-20cm longer, I have been struggling to get enough decent sized units along one of the walls. I finally solved it because the answer to a flippant "what I need is a 20cm wall cupboard" was "well we do one of those too". Problem solved.

However, Wickes do a 30cm drawer pack, which Howden don't.

and howdens kitchens are rigid factory built wickes are flat packed. howdens hold it all in stock wickes dont.
