Admin fees increased after purchase

Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has advice for my situation.

Yesterday I signed up for the local swimming pool with my partner on a monthly direct debit.

When signing up we were told that there would be an admin fee, but as we were applying together there would only be one admin fee payable, of £10. So we paid all that was needed upfront and set up the direct debit.

I got a voicemail this afternoon from someone at the centre saying that since we were using separate bank accounts and 2 direct debits were needed they had to charge us 2 admin fees.

I'm not overly bothered about the extra tenner, but I think it's pretty rude to call after everything has been agreed to say that they want another admin fee. Especially since direct debits don't actually cost anything to set up!

Am I within my rights to tell them that they can't have the extra tenner as they are changing the price of things after the whole thing has already been sorted and since it was their fault they'll just have to get over it.

Nowhere is the admin fee mentioned in writing and it's not in the Ts & Cs. I have receipts for everything as well as copies of my membership application and both direct debit forms.

Does anyone have any advice? If you need any more info then let me know.
