As the title states. Resignation due to complete bullying from senior managers. Now. Never been on it. But am I entitled to contribution-based JSA or will I go through a 6 month sanctioned period?

It's hard to say really, if you have evidence to back up your claims of bullying then the chances are you may well be awarded JSA (c based) if you've paid enough credits. Will go to a decision maker and only they can determine if you will be awarded your JSA.0

You make the claim to JSA give as much information as you can regarding your previous employment. They will contact your previous employer and a decision maker will look at all the evidence then make a decision. they can in impose a sanction up to 26 weeks. You will, if entitled, be paid JSA whilst this is happening. Innocent till prove guilty theory. You do not wait for the decision maker before they pay you.0

Resigning from a job will not, in itself, prevent you from being paid JSA. The test is whether you have made yourself voluntary unemployed and acted unreasonable in resigning.TEDDYRUKSPIN wrote: »As the title states. Do you have evidence that your position was untenable and you had to, for example, leave without following company grievance procedure? If so, that may be classed as constructive dismissal but you may have to prove it was reasonable, in all the circumstances, for you to leave.0 -
Of course if someone resigns due to bullying the employer may not reply to the Jobcentre or if the employer does reply, give a positive reply. You make the claim to JSA give as much information as you can regarding your previous employment. If the employer does not respond them decision maker will take your word for it. If employer does reply they look independently at both sides. Be prepared to accept the jobcentre will show employer what you have written. Obviously as stated above you needed to of follow company grievance policy and show that you resigning was the only possible outcome.0
